The first two blog experiments have been postponed until I get some spare time (i.e. after I have finished Lost, 24, Seinfeld, Simpsons, etc). But this one I have already completed!

During a road trip to Canada I listened to all of the first 1000 UK Number 1's . . . here's my story (which will be constructed over the next few weeks).

My second theory is that a really good album (or perhaps even any album) will grow on you and that will mean that on first listen you may have one or two favourite tracks, and then as you get more familiar with the album you favourite tracks change. Eventually (for a good album only?) you may end up liking all or most of the tracks and having them each as your favourite at one point in time.

How this experiment will work . . .

I plan some musical blog experiments. I have a belief that if you familiarize yourself with music enough, you will like it. In other words, no matter how naff the album, you will be singing along at some stage. I experienced this when I kept a cassette in my car and it was all I listened to on the way to work.

My experiment . . .
