August 2008 Archives
Massively excited that I've been waiting for months to go to the new Liverpool Echo Arena, and now I am going three times in 8 days in October. Not all for bands, but I did manage to get my hands on some Oasis tickets for the Tuesday 7 October show.
This was pretty much who we saw ...
This from NME.COM about The Verve's performance at V Festival (PS I don't remember them playing Velvet Morning).
A few free tunes for you (whilst they last). Registation needed for most or all of these.

and finally a whole bunch of stuff by Swervedriver if you fancy some live versions of their albums (I recommend Duress or Duel).
I used to think that I liked indie music. I guess I still do. But I have been sucked into the indie turns into mainstream market. About the only new indie stuff that I buy is from existing non-indie bands who put records out on their own labels (Travis, Supergrass).
