I've been busy reading the latest (and final) Harry Potter book. Don't worry, I won't spoil it. I haven't finished it, I don't know if the last word is scar but I can tell you that the first word is "The".
All this means is that I have a backlog of CDs to listen to . . .
I received 3 CDs in the post today. A house compilation, an indie record, and a CD by the Brian Jonestown Massacre who I have been meaning to post about for a while (when I eventually took delivery of the CD). Well I have it now, but I am busy reading Potter, so you'll have to wait for my thoughts . . .
However, as a taster: it is the debut BJM CD that I got, called Melodrone, and apparently it is like the good old indie shoe-gazing stuff. Around the time of Ride the founder of BJM wanted a name that was against the trend of one word bandnames. See the wikipedia entry for Brian Jonestown Massacre.
The house compilation was, of course, Es Vive Ibiza 2007 which I have been eagerly waiting for.
And the indie band was Air Traffic.

Readers of my last blog may be interest to learn that i have taken a break from Harry Potter book 7 and I am listening to Brian Jonestown Massacre and it is good. It is a track from their website, that is playing in a loop, called Nevertheless. In classic indie style, the title is not mentioned even though there is a repetitive mantra chorus presenting an obvious choice of song title.
