An explanation

People who know me know that I know music and if I ever had a blog then music would probably be its raison d'être. I would craft my musings using puns, alliteration, occasional use of foreign languages, et cetera.

But first up, an explanation of the origin of the Bezwick moniker.

Bezwick was the name of my kestrel. The name came to me on the morning of his arrival after weeks of thinking. The name references Bez who was part of Happy Mondays - a band from Manchester who had great success in the early 90's.

Bezwick (my Bezwick) died the same day as the Queen Mother. But my love of music continues and I hope some of my musings may be amusing for some musos. (Phew, got some paronomasia in their in the nick of time).

Finally, major thanks to Adrian for his help in making this possible.

Ahh I did wonder about that..

And what’s with the Blur album title? ;-)

Well, I guess that it’s as true now as it was in 1993. Modern life IS rubbish. Except perhaps now we should say “everything is average nowadays”. I see someone already has taken modernlifeisrubbish.co.uk

You may want to read by “Blur were The Beatles of my generation” theory in the Colonel Mustard blog.
